about

PapaVonne was a futurist and pioneer who foresaw and in some cases orchestrated the inventions, fabrications, and escalations of many modern-day conveniences we all take for granted.

As a young boy, he had visions of folk-rock, and when his original creation the coffee percolator failed him he went electric creating both the electric percolator and folk-rock itself.

He could bend and shape time and concepts, in fact, Some believe that the original Back To The Future plot was based on his writings and recollections but had to be changed to Doc due to licensing and copyright infringement issues.

As a young boy Goe Vanni became the mastermind of his universe and many got caught in the carelessness and unfeeling attitude of his ways, When Papa’s world crashed into folk-rock decay he reflected on his roads taken but until he was ready for redemption he sold many unsuspecting searchers on his philosophy. This is where our story picks up......

lyrics

Sugar on The brain
Sing that old refrain
I can't take it no more some things you can't ignore

Sugar for your head
Poured in as you bled
In the junk food aisle at the grocery store

Did your mama tell you to stay away from that junk food
Well I can't tell you anything
I don't mean to be rude
Infomercial mania is really much too much
The Juiceman's selling paradise
He's got such a smooth touch for

Sugar on The Brain
Sing that old refrain
I can't take it no more some things you can't ignore

Sugar for your head
Poured in as you bled
In the junk food aisle at the grocery store

Hanging with the teenyboppers out there on the coast
Living on your pixie dust
Snorting onion toast
In this world we're living in dreams are sold like merchandise
When commerce is the only way you live
You pay the ultimate price for

Sugar on The brain
Sing that old refrain
I can't take it no more some things you can't ignore

Sugar for your head
Poured in as you bled
In the junk food aisle at the grocery store

We're living in a fast-food world where thirty seconds is a long long time
Patience isn't virtuous
Fiber grows on vines
Sound bites are a way of life and all that's in your mind is
Sugar-coated nothingness
You seek
What do you find

Poor Papavonne
Where has he gone
Off-Broadway didn't like his play that's when he knew he'd seen his day

Needles and scarves
Delivery cars
Working all day for the man
Deep down inside he's got a plan

Poor Papavonne
Pity him none
He had it all threw it away
Gucci bags
Folk Rock Decay

solo

Poor Papavonne
Where has he gone
He got the jewels and went away
No one believed him anyway

Poor Papavonne
Poor Papavonne
Poor Papavonne
